How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers: Companies that help us run our business, such as Shopify (e-commerce platform; see Shopify’s Privacy Policy), payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfillment partners, email and SMS platforms, customer support tools, review platforms, and analytics providers such as Google Analytics (see Google’s Privacy Policy). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners: Partners such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google, TikTok, and Pinterest may collect information through cookies and pixels on our Site to measure ads and show you relevant ads. Under some state laws, this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out as described below.
- Legal and safety: To comply with laws, subpoenas, court orders, or other lawful requests, and to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mediclo, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
- With your consent: When you direct us to share your information.
As stated above, SMS opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Cookies and Targeted Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working (such as your cart), remember preferences, analyze traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; if you do, some Site features may not work.
You can limit targeted advertising by:
- Adjusting your Meta ad preferences
- Adjusting your Google ad settings
- Using the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out and the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
- Using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our Site footer
Global Privacy Control: We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising, for the browser or device sending the signal.
Do Not Track: Because there is no common standard for Do Not Track browser signals, we do not respond to them. We do honor GPC as described above.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we have collected about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions
- Obtain a copy of your personal information in a portable format
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling
- Appeal a decision we make about your request
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to submit a request: Email us at [privacy email] with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our Site footer. We will verify your identity before responding, usually by matching information you provide with our records. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, and we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
California residents: In the past 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in “Information We Collect” (identifiers, commercial information, internet or network activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences) for the purposes described in “How We Use Your Information.” We have shared identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. California’s “Shine the Light” law also lets California residents request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes; contact us to make that request.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, such as fulfilling orders, maintaining tax and accounting records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Records of SMS consent are kept as long as required to show compliance. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (SSL/TLS) checkout through Shopify. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Visitors
Mediclo is based in the United States, and your information is processed in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and stored in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
