What kind of fabric is Tencel™?
Tencel is a fabric made from wood pulp. It uses fewer chemicals and produces less waste than other fabrics. Tencel is great for medical scrubs because it's breathable, soft, absorbent, and antimicrobial.
It's breathable so healthcare workers stay cool when moving around. Tencel is very soft against the skin, especially for long shifts, and doesn't irritate sensitive skin.
It's highly absorbent and can take in 20% of its weight in moisture before feeling damp. This keeps wearers dry by pulling away perspiration.
Tencel is naturally antimicrobial so it resists bacteria, mold and mildew. This keeps medical scrubs fresher between washes for comfort and hygiene.

It took a few tries to find my right size in each fabric style but Customer Service was unmatched in assisting and providing the best customer service! What I discovered is that the Tencel fabric runs large and the darker color has a tendency to fade after washing but it gets softer and softer and has more of a distressed look which I actually love. Please re-stock the chocolate brown!!
The Fysel fabric runs smaller and is not as soft as the Tencel but still quite comfy. At 5’2” the petite is the way to go! I will definitely purchase more from this company. Thank you Mediclo!
